Happy Halloween!

Well it is finally Halloween! I am ready for a costume party tonight even though I haven't really decided what I am going to be yet. I will either be a nurse or a black cat. Right, now I am leaning more towards the black cat. Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween! Lastly, here is how my house was decorated for Halloween this year! Enjoy!

Camping! Part 2

As you know I went camping this weekend with Jay and another couple in Fort Payne, Alabama. Desoto State Park was so beautiful. I loved seeing all the fall foliage and the crisp weather made it even better. I really enjoyed hiking through the woods to find waterfalls even though they were a little dry. The weather was absolutely perfect for sitting around a campfire making S'mores and bundling up with the that special someone. I guess I did actually like camping and would not mind going again sometime as long as the weather is chilly like it was this weekend.

Camping?

Yes, you read that right Camping. Apparently, I had agreed to go camping with Jay on the next away football game and that happens to be this weekend. Now, I am not really one for camping. I mean don't get me wrong I like the outdoors and especially in the Fall but I am not so fond of the idea of sleeping in the woods. I have been camping before and did not really enjoy it but I am hoping it was because it was hot. This weekend the forecast is high in the mid 60s and lows in the 30s which should be perfect. I have told Jay that I will have to make S'mores. I mean what is camping without S'mores! Well if you are wondering where we will be camping he has picked Desoto State Park in Alabama. I am actually kind of excited to see the waterfalls there and to also go hiking. Here are some pictures that I found online but I am ready to take my own.

Now the only thing is what to pack?? I mean I may be camping but I still want to look kind of cute and stylish. Be sure to check back in Monday to see how the camping trip went! HAILSTATE!! Beat BAMA!

Last night was Jay and I's weekly dinner date night. Once a week we cook dinner and get to spend time together. Last night I decided I would make Teriyaki Glazed Salmon with Parmesan Asparagus. This Teriyaki Glazed Salmon is a simple and yummy family recipe. The Parmesan Asparagus was a recipe that I found on Pinterest.

Parmesan Asparagus:

2 bundles of fresh asparagus
Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Olive Oil
Salt
Pepper

Bake at 400F for 8-10 minutes
Enjoy!

Well I may be an adult technically, but I still look forward to the 13 Nights of Halloween on ABC Family each year! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. There is just something about all the decorations and of course the costumes are always fun. Well the 13 Nights of Halloween starts tonight! My favorite Halloween movie of all time is Hocus Pocus!

Hocus Pocus came out in 1993 so this movie has been out for 19 years, but it is just a classic! Now, that I am older I think it is interesting to see Sarah Jessica Parker in this movie because I am a big Sex and the City fan. This role is so very different than the ones she usually plays. If you have never seen this movie you should really watch it at least once. It will be on ABC Family's 13 Nights of Halloween Saturday night at 8/7c. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! See you again Monday!

Last night I cooked dinner for Jay and I. Jay really likes Chicken Cordon Bleu but the only down side is that it is pretty unhealthy. I decided I would try to find a healthier version to make for him. Eventually, I did find one on Skinnytaste.com.

This one is a little better for you because instead of being fried it is baked. While it may be healthier it definitely does not skimp on taste. This version was very filling and tasty!  The recipe can be found here on Skinnytaste.com. See you again tomorrow!

Statement Necklace

Statement Necklaces are so in this fall and I am absolutely loving them! Okay so the one above maybe a little too expensive for me but it is extraordinary! Anyway, they are the best way to make an outfit more stylish. You can really wear a simple white tshirt and jeans  and add one of these necklaces and it makes the outfit more chic. Not only are they good for everyday but they look amazing with a little black dress. Let one of these necklaces steal the show! Here are few that I am loving that are very fairly priced:

The first fairly priced statement necklace can be found here, the second here, third, and finally the fourth here. The last picture is me wearing one of my favorite statement necklaces!

Hailstate

This weekend MSU beat Tennesee making us 6-0! MSU is now also finally bowl eligible. Along with becoming 6-0 we also moved from #20 to #12 in the BCS national rankings! This deserves a big HAILSTATE! It feels great to be a bulldog. We will hopefully be 7-0 after our homecoming game this saturday against Middle Tennessee, but after that is when the games get really tough as we play Alabama, I believe in my dawgs though. I really do think we are becoming a team that will be hard to beat!

Weekly Favorites

Going to the Eurofest at Renassiance with Jay on Saturday was fun. I loved seeing all the different expensive and antique cars. I thought this F1 car was really interesting. I never realized how open they are or how low to the ground these cars are. Being that low to the ground is scary considering these cars go about 200 mph during a race.

My absolute favorite thing from this past week was getting to go to the fair with these two boys. I loved seeing what Jaden thought of all the rides. His faces and reactions were hilarious. I was so glad that I got to experience it.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I will be starting mine off with a little communtiy service! See you again Monday!

Trick or Treat

I always love a good craft! I once saw one similar to this but it was just a printable. I decided it would be more fun to try and make one. I think is a cute little decoration and can easily be done for any holiday. This craft only requires: scrapbook paper, sticky letters, a frame, and some hot glue.

I hope you enjoy! Check in tomorrow to see what my weekly favorites are!

Back to Regular Scheduled Programming

Let me start this post by apologizing for not posting for a few days. School got a little busy with a BIG test but I promise now that its over I will be back to my regular posting. Today I have been catching up on all the TV shows that I have recorded and my new favorite show that for this fall is The Mindy Project. If you are a fan of The Office then you already know how funny Mindy Kaling is. I personally never really got into watching The Office but her new show is so funny. It is about a young female doctor just trying to live a fun life, but most importantly find love. Check it out!

If you liked the trailer then you can watch it every Tuesday night on FOX at 9:30/8:30c.
