Ghoul's Night Out

Last night was my Halloween themed Girl's Night Out called Ghoul's Night Out! We had planned on it being a pumpkin craving party but a few girls forgot their pumpkins so we ended up just enjoying the food, talking, and watching American Horror Story Coven. All in all the night turned out great and we cannot wait until the Christmas Party! We already made plans for it last night. Anyway, more on that closer to time so here is your glimpse into our Ghoul's Night Out!

Halloween Prep

Tonight is the Girl's Night Out Halloween edition that I will be hosting at my house! Therefore, be sure to check in tomorrow to read all about it. But as for today lets talk about costumes. I have two different costumes for this year. One is the Black Swan that I will be wearing to my internship at the Physical Therapy clinic, while the second is a Top Gun Flight Attendant for Jay's SAE Halloween Date Party! My Black Swan one will not be as dramatic since I have to be pretty covered up for internship but it will still be fun. Pictures of both of my costumes will be on here Friday! I would love to hear from you about what you are going to be for Halloween.

Death by Glitter

As mentioned in my Weekend Favorites post I did some DIY Halloween crafts this weekend. In case you missed it I featured the first craft Tuesday in this post. Last month I had some canvas laying around and decided it would be stunning to make a gold glittered skull on it with a black matte background. I love anything that sparkles and shines which means that glitter is the perfect addition to a skull for Halloween. I have to admit that this DIY turn out better than I could have ever imagined! Another DIY Halloween project can be seen here and here. Be sure to check back in next week to see how I styled it for my little girls night Halloween themed night!

Sprouting

If you have noticed recently I have decided that once a week I will feature a store, restaurant, or event in Mississippi that is worth checking out, whether you live here or are visiting. I think is this allowed me to find new ways to love this hospitable state that I live in. This week I am featuring the store Sprout baby, home, and garden that is located here in Starkville, Ms. As you know I love all things home which means of course I had to check it out. Perhaps you are like me and thought that this store was mainly just baby but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in! The home décor here was right on point. After, leaving that store I dreamed of all the different items and wished I could redecorate my whole house. I hope you enjoy this glimpse into the store through my eyes!

Blacked Out

As Halloween draws closer that means it is time to get the house all decorated. I had seen some painted pumpkins in magazines and on Pinterest. I figured a black pumpkin would be different along with being a little spooky. I mean what is Halloween without a little eerie décor. I think making a pumpkin for your favorite sports team or with your house number would look great too! This DIY was very simple to complete. All you need is an hour or two, black matte spray paint, white acrylic paint, and a small paint brush. If you have made one or decide to I would love to see yours. Be sure to share a link to it in a comment. Trick or Treat!!

Also, if you are interested or looking for another pumpkin decorating idea here is one from last year. (click on this link)
