New Closet

This week's new home update is my closet now that I finally got it rearranged and color coded. Weekly Favorites

I love getting to wear basically whatever I want to work as long as it is cute! The picture above was my work outfit on Wednesday. Today at work we are celebrating the old managers last day before I start in her place Monday. In honor of her last day I thought a Chocolate Bundt Cake from Corner Bakery would be a sweet little treat! Well I hope you have a great weekend and I will see you Monday!

New Desk Look

As I have mentioned I have recently moved from Starkville back to Jackson. While I am still getting things all moved in and just how I like them but I have finally gotten my desk in order. My desk was one of the first tasks I knew I had to tackle and complete since this is my headquarters for this blog. Now that it is back in working order it has made me very happy! I love my new cork backing because it allows me to place quotes and magazine clippings that inspire me, plus it allows me to add pops of color which can be changed out easily. I hope you enjoy this new addition and first glimpse into my new space. There will be more to come as I get more settled in! See you tomorrow!

Fresh Ink

Say hello to Fresh Ink's stationary and gifts store's new employee! That's right I am finally done with school work for a whole year and will be working at this amazing, creative, and colorful store. Right now I am a little unsure of my exact job title but I know it has the title of manager in it. I absolutely love coming into work here because you never know what new things will be arriving! I also love the location on the second floor of Banner Hall because of the big windows that overlook Highland Village that let in the gorgeous morning light. Even though I just started Monday I can tell that this is the right place for me and I am very excited to be working here! Below are some items such as Kate Spade and Lily Pulitzer agendas, Cinco Powell tassels, and Thimblepress Confetti Push Pops that we currently have in the store and online. #CANDIDLYNICOLE

#CandidlyNicole aired it's first episode last Thursday night on VH1 and I think this may be one of my new favorite guilty pleasure shows! Basically this show is a reality show about Nicole Richie (daughter of Lionel Richie) and she honestly says and does whatever she wants on this show and I absolutely love it. The things that she says are so random but a lot make perfect since and her outlook on things I feel express how the world works now. For instance the first episode dealt with online dating and parallel parking. I completely relate to how she feels about parallel parking so I loved it! I will say though that this show probably only has a viewing age range of 16-35 years old. With that being said the second episode airs tonight on VH1 at 10/9c. New Beginnings

I have recently graduated in May and since then plans as far as my future have changed. I was planning on taking the MCAT and applying to Medical Schools in the Fall. Well I have decided that I want a family and a life and those two things don't work to well if I am planning on being a doctor. One day I woke and just knew that it wasn't right for me or my future. I have decided that I will be applying to Nursing School now instead! I am thrilled about this change because I will be able to have a profession in the field that I want and still have a life and a family! My overall plan is to first become a RN (registered nurse) then after that decide how much further I want to take it. I believe that at this point I think I want to go as far as Nurse Practitioner. I thought it was time to let y'all know the new path that I have chosen for my life. If you have any words of advice feel free to leave a comment! See you tomorrow!

Ombre Hair Update

The Ombre hairstyle has been spotted on many celebrities. If you are not sure what ombre hair is, well it is basically when it starts out darker at the top and fades to a lighter color at the ends. I have been debating on getting my hair done like this for awhile. The main reason I have been waiting is because I can really only dye my hair in the fall/winter months because if I do it any sooner the sun turns it back to how it was before. In case you didn't already know for the past few years I have been dying my hair dark brown every fall. I am completely obsessed with dark, rich, chocolaty brunette hair. Well, today I am taking the plunge and going for the Ombre trend. Below are examples of the color or overall look that my wonderful hair stylist Sherri is going to be going for! P.S. I would like to apologize for being absent for two days. All day Monday I was studying for a big test in my Neural Control of Human Movement class. Then, unfortunately yesterday I was running around my house rushing to get ready for work at 6:30am and ended up breaking my little toe. I have broken this toe before and it will be completely fine just a little painful for right now, but don't you worry though I am back to blogging daily!
