- Coming home to a little unexpected happy from my best friend Anabel. I cannot wait to wear this scarf especially since the weather has turned cold again. -

- Floral arrangements anyone? I spent some time last night preparing a few floral arrangements for the party I am hosting Saturday. I really CANNOT wait to finally be able to share it with you on Monday. I have been trying to keep all the major details of it a secret for over two weeks now. Truthfully, it has been killing me. See you Monday with all the details! -

Honorable Mention:

- Having Monday off from class! -

- Finding the time to enjoy mini coffee dates with Jay before class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Hey it may only be 15-20 minutes but it is nice treat. -

Lemon Kris Crinkle Cookies

For the holidays I decided to make a variety of different sweet treats to take to Starkville Physical Therapy as a little Christmas present and thank you for letting my do my internship there. At first I wasn't sure what all I would make, but then I stumbled upon a recipe for Lemon Crinkle Cookies. I knew right when I saw the name that I was going to make these! These cookies might be my new favorite because they are the perfect mix of sweet and tart. I would recommend this recipe to anyone who wants to make a refreshing but still scrumptious cookie!

Lemon Kris Crinkle Cookies:
*makes 2-3 dozen

Ingredients:
1/2 cups butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 whole egg
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Whip in vanilla, egg, lemon zest, and juice.
Stir in all dry ingredients slowly until just combined, excluding the powdered sugar.
Pour powdered sugar onto a large plate. Roll heaping teaspoon of dough into a ball and roll in powdered sugar.
Place on baking sheet and repeat with remaining dough.
Bake for 9-11 minutes or until bottoms begin to barely brown and cookies look matte (not shiny or melted)
Remove from oven and cool cookies about 3 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.

Be sure to keep checking in because there will be at least four more delicious recipes to come!

Let me start out by saying thank you for all the birthday wishes! I had a great day and night! Here is a look at some of the presents I received:

Some of the presents included a Zara gift card, infinity symbol bracelet, Pink Bombshell gift card, some money, cookies, lots of Dark chocolate, and a few birthday cards. Therefore, needless to say I loved all of my gifts. I know yesterday was the first day of Spring so I hope everyone had a great and hopefully pretty day! See you tomorrow!

Here is a little look at some of the Christmas presents that I received this year. Starting from number one a Moleskine Wine Journal, this is perfect for keeping track of all the different wines you have tried and which ones you love. Next, is Pinch Provisions Mini Emergency Kit for her, this little kit is perfect to keep in your purse because it is packed with seventeen essentials for women. Number three is the C. Wonder Leopard Calf Hair Minaudiere which is luxurious looking and reasonably priced, making it any fashionistas dream clutch. I bought the next present for my self when I was in Chicago. The Mrs. Lilien's Cocktail Swatchbook this is pretty much a flip book of cocktails which looks great on any bar cart. The fifth present might actually be my favorite. My new Lucky Brand Juneau Boots in Sudan Brown, I have worn them everyday since I got them on Christmas Eve.
Number six is a wine drinkers dream bottle opener the Oster Electric Wine Bottle Opener. Lastly, is a Target gift card and not only did I get one but three making this girl super happy! I hope you had a great Christmas too!

P.S. If you want to buy any of these simply click on the name and it will take you to a site where you can get them.
