Geometric Tissue Backdrop DIY

As you know I recently threw a Mimosas and Brunch Party for my closest friends. The color scheme was gold, silver, white, and pink to help combat the gloomy winter weather outside. While I made this for brunch it would also be perfect for a Valentine's Day Party, hey you still have time to make it! While it may look very complex it was actually fairly simple to make just takes a little time and patience, but having your best friend help doesn't hurt either! Now lets get to it.

Supplies:
Tissue Paper of any color
Plain White Gift Wrap (found at Dollar Tree)
Scissors
Tape

Directions:
1. Fold your tissue paper hot dog style (lengthwise).
2. Cut the corners to create a hexagonal shape.
3. Start cutting at the corner at different lengths to create a fringe like pattern.
5. Open up and cut in half lengthwise in order to create two pieces.
6. Repeat until you have enough to cover the space that you will be using it in.
7. Be patient!
8. Cover your wall with the plain white gift wrap (this to make it easy to remove).
(My dear best friend Anabel helping me piece it all together)
9. Starting at the bottom begin taping your pieces on in the pattern of your liking.
10. Continue until you have covered the whole wall.
11. Enjoy the pop of color it brings and the shock on your guests faces!

P.S. Thank you Anabel! Also, if you do make this I would LOVE to see yours so post a link to it in a comment below!

Treat That Fabulous Friend

There are only 16 more days until Christmas!! If you haven't started shopping then you probably should right now!! I am here to help with another edition of the Holiday Gift Guide. So far I have presented ideas for Hostess gifts, Children's Gifts Under $20 and items from my personal Christmas Wishlist! Today I am giving you some ideas to treat a fabulous friend. I don't know about you but me personally, I have a ton of wonderful girl friends that keep me going each and everyday! They allow me to vent and to gossip(come on we all do it) and they build me up. I would personally like to receive every one of these(I already own four). This Christmas, I hope to show each and every one of my friends how much I appreciate and love them and how much I need them in my life!

Stay southern,

Tartan Winter

I have recently fallen in love with all things Tartan. It is very classic and I love how it is making a come back and people are putting a modern twist on it. I have ordered a Tartan scarf from Zara and even bought some wrapping paper to use next year that is Tartan. Please don't think I am crazy I would use it this year except for the fact that I have already wrapped all my gifts in a gold and white theme. Next year I plan to try to incorporate a little Tartan into my decorating! I hope you are enjoying this traditional pop as much as I am! See you tomorrow!

Since I have started decorating for Christmas I have been looking on Pinterest for a few Christmas decorating ideas. For those of you who do not already know I love this time of year. Christmas decorations and lights really do make everything seem more beautiful! Here are a few of my favorites.
I absolutely love this picture! If only Mozart would let me take a picture like this!

Be sure to check into tomorrow to see a few Thanksgiving prep and recipes! Happy Tuesday!

Fur Sure

I have a slight thing for Fur this year but of course it has to be Faux. Fur is a simple but yet glam addition to any outfit! While I already have one brownish colored faux fur vest I am thinking I may need another one for Christmas that is black. I have seen some affordable ones here and there so one may be making an appearance on my list! I love the way the faux furs have been used below to really take the outfits to the next level!

Grown-Up Easter Basket

Items: Eos Sweet Mint Lip Balm, Us Weekly Magazine, Blue Diamond Roasted Salted Almonds, and Maybelline Falsies Mascara

I would EGGstatic if these things were in my Easter basket Sunday morning!! I would much rather have practical everyday things that I can use instead of lots of candy. I also do not need any more candy because I still have two bags of dark chocolate from my birthday last week. My other options of items for a grown up Easter basket would be lipstick, face lotion, body lotion, candles, nail polish, jewelry, or a gift card. I hope everyone is getting ready for Easter!
