Death by Glitter

As mentioned in my Weekend Favorites post I did some DIY Halloween crafts this weekend. In case you missed it I featured the first craft Tuesday in this post. Last month I had some canvas laying around and decided it would be stunning to make a gold glittered skull on it with a black matte background. I love anything that sparkles and shines which means that glitter is the perfect addition to a skull for Halloween. I have to admit that this DIY turn out better than I could have ever imagined! Girly Glitter Cork Magnets

If you are like me you can never find any stylish magnets. They all just seem to be very plain or letters of the alphabet. With that being said this weekend I decided to do a little crafting with some wine corks. I decided to make some chic, girly, glittery wine cork magnets. These were really easy and fast to make. These would be especially cute for a girl who loves to drink wine!

 

 Materials:

 

Glitter

Hot Glue Gun

Hot Glue

Magnets

Tacky Glue Stick

Corks

Scissors

A Knife

 

Instructions:

 

1. Gather all of your materials

2. Use the knife to cut the Corks in half

3. Cut the magnets down to size and then use the hot glue gun to glue the magnets to the back of the corks.

4. Use the Tacky Glue Stick to put glue on the ends then dip them in the glitter.

5. Done!!

HaLloween Skull DIY

I am a typical girl in that I love anything that is glitterier and sparkles! Therefore, I decided that I would do some DIYs for Halloween that involve glitter.

  This is the first of a few DIYs and when I saw these cardboard skulls for only $1.00 I know exactly what I would do with them. I bought four skulls and different colors of glitter. I decided to start with the orange glitter and just see what I thought about it.

Well needless to say I loved it! I will be making a black, silver, and gold one! The only thing I will tell someone who wants to do this is expect to get sticky and have glitter stuck to your hands, but do not worry it will come off with a little soap and warm water. Here is the finished product:
