Pumpkins

As I mentioned last week I have a rule about not buying a Pumpkin until it is October 1st. Well seeing as how I was busy yesterday studying for a test I did not have the time to go get one on October 1st. Therefore after class today the first thing I did was go get some Pumpkins!

Pumpkins just make my home seem cozier. They are one of my favorite things about this time of year. I also love carving them! Carving Pumpkins is one thing that Jay and I always do each year and the more complicated the better. I am so happy Fall and October is here!

HaLloween Skull DIY

I am a typical girl in that I love anything that is glitterier and sparkles! Therefore, I decided that I would do some DIYs for Halloween that involve glitter.
This is the first of a few DIYs and when I saw these cardboard skulls for only $1.00 I know exactly what I would do with them. I bought four skulls and different colors of glitter. I decided to start with the orange glitter and just see what I thought about it.

Well needless to say I loved it! I will be making a black, silver, and gold one! The only thing I will tell someone who wants to do this is expect to get sticky and have glitter stuck to your hands, but do not worry it will come off with a little soap and warm water. Here is the finished product:
By the way that Trick or Treat sign is another DIY, so be sure to keep checking in to see that one also! Happy October!

Weekend Favorites

1. Seeing this beautiful butterfly on Friday morning when walking to class was a wonderful start to the weekend.

2. Friday was a Pink Champs (Bravo Real Housewives of Beverly Hills term for Champagne) kind of night!

3. Pretty Lights Concert with the boyfriend was a great way to end Friday

4. Jay and I have been watching Lost and we finally finished it Saturday night. If you haven't watched it I suggest you watch it. Lost is very suspenseful and keeps you quessing all the time.

5. Finally, getting to pull all my Halloween decorations out to start decorating my house.

6.  Since it was raining all day Sunday Jay wanted to go mudriding. This is something that I do not really ever do. I am more of a city girl than a country girl.

7. Jay and I made this yummy dinner Sunday night!

8. Sunday night consisted of one of my favorite TV shows starting its 2nd season!

9. This week is our Fall Break Week at MSU. We have the 4th and 5th off so this week will only be a three day week! Also this is perfect because the 4th is mine and Jay's two year Anniversary!
